Black Sabbath Riot in Milwaukee (1980)

Does anyone else remember this? Dio/Black Sabbath Riot as told in 93QFM: The Halcyon Daze. Milwaukee Rock Radio DJ Stories.

I was at this concert and The New Barbarians also. As we were leaving, police were already "escorting" people out. Immediately in front of us, there was a handcuffed guy being dragged face down by the hair, going down the stairs. His glasses fell off and an officer went out of his way to step on them. We were all quiet and low profile the rest of the way out.

Kudos to CBS58 (Sort of)

Of all the local Milwaukee Media outlets here, CBS58 was the only outlet to even mention in passing there's more trouble in Egypt. The is a small link to Cairo's Tahrir Square on their National News page, and that is only a link to CNN. Aside from that is just "Turkey Week" (not much about Thanksgiving except for maybe here) and the usual Libs vs Cons stuff.
This is becoming old news and we have barely heard anything of it. Seems the military coup that recently took place to oust Mubarak in favor of a democracy has at least temporarily put the military in place for a bit longer than expected. The people are again revolting because the military has gotten a little too comfortable there.

Recall Walker?

If this will be the cycle, lets just have a 6 month term with a 1 term limit. I for one have had it with the oh so clever political ads. (they think) I am against all recalls unless there is an obvious reason, like a felony level infraction. The reason I heard on NPR today was Walker lied during his campain. Are you serious? Are you kidding me? A politician that lied during a campaign? That is a pretty low bar to set for a standard. Has ther been a politician in recent history that didn't lie in his campaign? Remember Jim Doyle's evolution from being an anti gambling Attorney General to his last campaign promising not to raise taxes? Please.

If you don't like Walker, just wait. vote him out, and undo all the things he does then. It's pendulum politics. It's your turn then.  It's the only way to preserve the Status Quo.
